First Day of School Schedule
Incoming freshmen and students new to Arcadia will have welcome activities in the morning. All returning students will arrive after lunch. Here is the schedule for the first day:
Freshmen & New Students: 7:45 - 11:20
Lunch for all students: 11:20 - 11:45
All students:
- Period 1: 11:50-12:10
- Period 2: 12:16-12:36
- Period 3: 12:42-1:02
- Period 4: 1:08-1:28
- Period 6: 1:34-1:54
- Period 7: 2:00-2:20
2024 Summer Homework Assignments

Freshmen & New students will pick up their school devices, PE uniforms & lockers, pay fees, and walk their schedule. Parents should accompany their student and can arrive within the time frames below. Fees can be paid online in advance via InTouch or by cash or check in the bookstore at orientation. Here is the fee schedule. Fees will be uploaded to students’ accounts the day prior to orientation.
Fall Sports Information
All athletes must have their documentation completed in Register My Athlete prior to their first day of practice. Tryout dates are:
- Cheerleading - Incoming Freshmen and new students: Begins July 29th
- Pom: Begins July 29th
- Boy’s and Girl’s Golf: Tryouts will be the week of August 12th
- Football: Practices will begin August 5th
- Flag Football: August 12th
- Cross Country: August 5th
- Volleyball: Begins August 12th and goes the full week
- Swim & Dive: Begins August 12th

Freshmen, you have arrived! On July 29, 2024, Arcadia High School welcomes you to what will hopefully be the first of many incredible high school memories throughout your next four years. Registration closes Friday, July 26, 2024.

In SUSD, we havenearly 70NationalBoard CertifiedTeachers (NBCT) across our 29 schools. On this episode of Spotlight, we sit down with NBCT Susan Leonard, an Ingleside Middle School educator and SUSD’S lead trainer for NBCT candidates. We dive into a fun conversation about education excellence and how teachers in 2024 can feel appreciated and recognized for theirachievements.

Dr. Danskey is entering her 16th year in high school administration and her 3rd year at Arcadia High School. Prior to joining the Scottsdale Unified School District, Dr. Danskey worked in St. Louis, Missouri and Hillsboro, Oregon.
