What are quest 1 courses at UF? ›

UF Quest 1 courses extend beyond any one discipline. They are not a survey of or an introduction to a field. Instead, they are topical and thematic courses that explore essential questions about the human condition that are not easy to answer and hard to ignore. What makes life worth living?

Quest 2 courses fulfilll three credits of General Education requirement in the Biological Sciences, the Physical Sciences, or the Social and Behavioral Sciences. They engage students in thought-provoking General Education coursework that builds on and expands their Quest 1 experience in the arts and humanities.

Quest 2 courses fulfill the UF Quest 2 requirement and satisfy 3 credits of the General Education requirement in the Biological, Physical, or Social and Behavioral Sciences. Students must first complete a Quest 1 course before taking a Quest 2 course.

Honors Sections + Quest. Honors sections are versions of regular UF courses, but specifically designed for honors students. Quest 1 & 2 sections are typically available each semester, but are not required. Genetics presents a comprehensive coverage of the principles, theory and applications of genetics.

Project Quality Employment Through Skills Training (QUEST)

QUEST, which stands for Quality Utilization and Enrichment of Student Talents, is our enrichment service in elementary and middle school. It is developmental in scope, with the curriculum addressing core content areas through projects and units that cross multiple subject areas.

We plan to continue maintaining the system software with critical bug fixes and security patches until 2024. Quest 1 users will no longer be able to create or join a party. Quest 1 users who currently have access to Meta Horizon Home social features will lose access to these features on March 5, 2023.

The Quest 2 has a significantly improved screen resolution over the Quest 1, providing a better and more immersive visual experience. In detail, the Quest 2 has a screen resolution of 1832 x 1920 pixels per eye, while its predecessor comes out at 1440 x 1600 pixels per eye.

Similar to its predecessor, Oculus Go, it is a standalone device, that can run games and software wirelessly under an Android-based operating system. It supports positional tracking with six degrees of freedom, using internal sensors and an array of cameras in the front of the headset rather than external sensors.

3.75 GPA on all courses taken at UF beginning the semester after accumulating 60 credits. Completion of an approved research project or creative work and submission of an honors thesis based on that work.

Quest is a full-day, year-long program for juniors and seniors that inspires a community of learners to pursue their passions through personalized learning experiences AND authentic, meaningful, and rigorous academic work.

Quest-based learning design focuses on an individualized and flexible curricular experience. In QBL, students can select activities, called quests, rather than assignments in a fixed linear order. Students leverage choice to promote engagement rather than waiting for a due date.

Quests are Experiences.

Students begin a quest in one state of knowledge and intellectual development, and through the process of engaging in its associated activities and completing the quest–i.e. through the experience defined by the quest–student progress in their skills, habits, and general knowledge.
