The 2024 edition of RAGBRAI marks the 51st anniversary of the first ride in 1973. This year's ride will go 434 miles, starting in Glenwood on Sunday, July 21, and ending in Burlington on Saturday, July 27.Here's what riders can look forward to during Friday's ride. Elevation: 3,160 feet

Gravel option: 8.4 miles

Concert: The Spazmatics in Mount Pleasant
