College offers are flying through the air like campaign promises this time of year.
Kansas prospects attended team and skill camps this week and collected offers to play collegiate sports while impressing multiple coaching staffs.
Here is an update on the recruitment status of five ranked Kansas athletes including one who has verbally committed.
Maguire Richman Maguire Richman 6'2" | 200 lbs | LB Blue Valley | 2025 State KS , LB, 6’2”, 200, Blue Valley, ‘25
The second-highest-ranked linebacker in the Kansas class of 2025 has verbally committed to the Kansas State Wildcats. Richman is a tackling machine racking up back-to-back seasons of 120-plus tackles. During his junior season, he finished with 132 total tackles and 11 tackles for lost yardage. Those numbers increased from 127 tackles and two TFLs during his sophom*ore season. The Blue Valley prospect is currently ranked No. 12 overall by Prep Redzone.
Guy Tubbs Guy Tubbs 6'3" | 210 lbs | DB Colby | 2025 State KS , DB, 6’3”, 210, Colby, ‘25
Tubbs is a three-sport prospect for Colby. He received a football offer from Hastings College and a PWO from Kansas State. Tubbs plays basketball and won the Class 3A state championship throwing the Javelin. Prep Redzone has Tubbs listed as a defensive back, but he could also play tight end or linebacker. His junior season stats of 37 total tackles and 22 receptions won’t catch any eyes, but his athleticism and skill set have caught the eyes of college coaches. Tubbs is ranked No. 76 overall in the Kansas Class of 2025.
Jackson Rumford Jackson Rumford 6'5" | 225 lbs | TE Scott City | 2025 State KS , TE, 6’5”, 225, Scott City, ‘25
Rumford is an athlete who could play college football or basketball. He averaged 16.6 points and 7.5 rebounds on the basketball court for the Beavers. His combination of size and speed make him a dangerous red-zone target as a tight end. He has received offers from Northern Iowa and Fort Hays State. Rumford also kicks and punts which adds to his value. He is the fifth-ranked tight end in the class of 2025 and ranked No. 279 overall.
Gage Gibson Gage Gibson 6'4" | 220 lbs | OL Salina Central | 2025 State KS , OL, 6’4”, 220, Salina Central, ‘25
Gibson is ranked No. 33 overall by Prep Redzone Kansas. He is a powerful offensive lineman who is ranked No. 8 at his position. Gibson received an offer from Washburn University after attending the Ichabod’s camp in Topeka.
Aiden Scott Aiden Scott 6'5" | 190 lbs | QB Shawnee Heights | 2026 State KS , QB, 6’5”, 190, Shawnee Heights, ‘26
The Shawnee Heights quarterback is having a busy summer. He played in team camps at Washburn and Central Missouri. He also attended a skills camp at South Dakota State. The second-ranked quarterback in the class of 2026 has an offer from Washburn in hand. He can beat teams with his throwing arm or legs.
